New York has many different types of pests but here’re some of the most common.
Rats and mice:
if you’ve ridden the NYC subway you’ve probably seen at least one rat or mice on the rails. As it happens in many super populated cities, NYC has a rodent problem. Rats and mice are known to transmit many diseases that are troubling to humans and they reproduce very fast making population control very difficult.
Roaches:
We’ve all been there. Cockroaches are one of the most common headaches in NYC apartments and homes. There’s nothing worse than getting home and finding these annoying creatures walking around like they own the place. The German cockroach is the most common roach found in NYC apartments, they usually hide in dark, humid areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, air conditioning vents, basements, drains, and closets.
There are many other pests in the city and its suburban areas, but these are for sure the ones we notice the must because of their appearance, their volume and the risk they pose to our health.
